5 Ways To Refresh Your Decor For Spring.
Give your space a Spring Refresh!
Say hello to Spring! Even though it might not feel like it, today is officially the first day of Spring and that only means one thing…the big annual Spring clean.
Whether you’re stuck at home with the kids or have turned your dining table into a makeshift desk, having a spring refresh is the perfect way to take your mind off the four walls that surround you, we’ve compiled our five favourite ways to refresh your space for the coming months.
1. Update your decor
Surround yourself with positive energy and inject some warm shades into your space, with a feature wall. Bright and bold yellow is ideal for injecting some fun, statement vibes into your space, try this shade in a home office to keep you going. Pastel pinks are the new neutral and perfect for regaining some peace and tranquillity in your space, pair with fresh flowers in a bedroom to keep your sleep patterns stress-free and healthy.
2. Tackle that Junk Draw
We all have one, the draw where we put everything that we don’t need but don’t throw away, the home of spare safety pins and discarded takeaway menus. You might push the draw to the back of your mind but it’s time to get it on the to-do list. Re-organisation is key so get crafty and make home-made draw separates with cardboard boxes from the recycling bin. Clearing the clutter can consume some time especially if you get the little one’s involved!
3. Swap out your Soft Furnishings
Changing accessories can give your space a whole new lease of life. Switch around throws and pillows and experiment within different shades to make your place feel like new. Adding a new rug can inject some cosy comfort and inject some feel-good, house-proud energy into your space.
4. Extra time for DIY
Finding yourself with some extra time on your hands? Start a D.I.Y. Project to keep your mind active. Scour the charity shops or do up a piece of unloved furniture in your own space. A lick of paint and varnish is perfect for giving a second life to an old family heirloom or an essential storage space.
5. Get the kids involved
With schools set to close you might be wondering how on earth to occupy your little ones. Get them on board with chores, from cleaning their bedroom to helping with the hoovering, cleaning’s a great way to keep the kids occupied while you stay focused on work, or just put your feet up with a brew.
