Charlie Davis, Stylist
We caught up with London based interior stylist Charlie Davis on the set of our latest shoot to get her top tips this season, as well as find out her favourite rug from the new collection and where she looks for inspiration…
From the serene Heron to the bold and colourful Omega, the AW18 collection is rich in colour and pattern. How do you put your palettes together?
Choosing your colour palettes will initially come from the style and mood you are looking to create in your home. For example, you can accessorise the Heron with pops of colour to accentuate the quirkiness of the asymmetrical design or you could embrace the muted tone and combine it with rustic terracotta pots and wicker baskets to create a more calming space.

Inspiration and style direction for the Heron rug
How does a rug affect the way a room or space is defined? Why are rugs important in interior design?
They are important as they separate spaces whilst defining areas and creating natural pathways through a home. Rugs can be used to add warmth to a room whether that is in the form of texture or colour.
Which is your favourite rug from the collection and why?
My favourite is the Omega rug for its variety of bold colour and graphic design, plus it’s made from recycled plastic bottles and therefore eco-friendly.
What are your top home styling tips?
Layer up textures and play with colour. Be bold – try things. You can always change it if it doesn’t work out.
Where do you look for inspiration?
Everywhere. I take inspiration from everyday life – the colours of flowers to the textures of falling down walls.
Which key trends should we be looking out for in autumn/winter 2018?
Moody interiors with lots of velvet and indoor plants.
What are the most common interior design challenges people face?
Making decisions and following them through. A home should reflect your personality, so you take inspiration from what you see and like but make it your own.
