Warehouse Administration Supervisor

We are currently seeking a Warehouse Administration Supervisor to join our team here at Flair Rugs. This role is newly created as we adapt to the remarkable growth our company has experienced over the past couple of years. Located on the outskirts of the Tameside/Glossop border, the position will be solely based within our warehouse and will collaborate closely with our broader operations team.

As the Warehouse Admin Supervisor, your role will involve ensuring prompt task completion, precise record-keeping, and effective schedule management, while maintaining a strong focus on continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate stock movements and liaise with external agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Oversee equipment operations and coordinate maintenance.
  • Maintain warehouse security systems.
  • Dispatch orders accurately and on time.
  • Complete all warehouse administrative tasks promptly.
  • Handle internal and external queries in a timely manner.
  • Lead and support the warehouse admin team, fostering engagement, positivity, and professional growth through regular one-on-one coaching sessions.
  • Effectively manage overtime, absence, and shift schedules, promptly addressing performance and conduct issues while providing necessary training and assistance to team members as needed.

Skills and Experience:

  • Possess administrative experience in warehouse, logistics, and distribution settings, coupled with knowledge and understanding of warehouse operations.
  • Demonstrate a competent understanding of ERP/Data software e.g. Navision and Phocas
  • Experience of supervising a team with demonstrative interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills.

Salary: £26,500 per annum (plus shift allowance).
Contract: Full Time, Permanent, 37.50 hours per week.
Hours of Work: Shifts predominantly 10:00AM – 18:30PM; may be required to work around the needs of the business with shifts starting/finishing earlier or later. There is also a Sunday morning shift every 6 weeks.

This role requires the wearing of personal protective equipment.
